奈良美智回顾展 开启全球巡展 | 第一站洛杉矶LACMA 第二站上海余德耀美术馆

洛杉矶郡立美术馆 LACMA 最近公布日本艺术家奈良美智的首次国际回顾展，展出1984年到2020年间的100多件重要作品，包括绘画、素描、雕塑和装置艺术作品。此次回顾展为巡展模式，会在2020年到2021年期间在4个国家展出，其中包括上海余德耀美术馆展览计划。

Knife Behind Back (2000)

奈良的作品常常能引起观众的共鸣，不管观众是什么性别、年龄、文化及社会背景。他的作品通过描绘观众普遍的情感与经历，唤起人们心灵最深处被隐藏或遗忘的记忆与孤独感，从而引发深层次的共鸣。

奈良美智的作品与音乐有着深厚的关系，尤其是他对唱片封面的喜爱。封面艺术和唱片本身是逃避现实的源泉，也是一种自我赋权的形式，它们使奈良美智能够与日本的历史残存共存，并与冲突的迹象近在咫尺。这次展览将注意力从日本新流行音乐运动对奈良的影响转移到六七十年代的民间和摇滚音乐，这些音乐影响了他的创作。

这次展览的亮点包括奈良美智最具标志性的作品，包括经典绘画 Girl with a Knife in Her Hand (1991)，机械装置作品 Fountain of Life (2001/2014)，再现艺术家工作室的木质小屋 My Drawing Room (2008)，以及8米高的青铜雕塑 Miss Forest 将在美术馆入口展示。
